Tenacious D announce The Pick of Destiny sequel
Consequence Of Sound reports that comedy folk rock act Tenacious D have announced a sequel to their 2006 movie The Pick of Destiny.
The shocking part is that it is scheduled to be released in October!

Kotaku announced that Virtual Console Is Not Coming To Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo Switch’s online subscription service will include a Netflix-like library of NES games.
“There are currently no plans to bring classic games together under the Virtual Console banner as has been done on other Nintendo systems,” a Nintendo spokesperson said.
Nintendo doesn't plan to ignore its older games on the Switch.
There won’t however be a dedicated brand for the classics.

Disney has teased a new Marvel movie franchise following next year's Avengers 4.
Disney CEO Bob Iger discussed the future of the MCU during an earnings call, teasing there could be a brand new Marvel superhero team that's not the Avengers.

Hollywood Reporter posted that Rick Moranis has Joined 'SCTV' Reunion Documentary for Netflix.
Moranis will join, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short and Dave Thomas in the comedy special to be directed by Martin Scorsese.
Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas played SCTV and Saturday Night Live's beer-loving McKenzie brothers during the 1980s.
The live taping will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday in Toronto.
Netflix will premiere the title globally in all territories except Canada, where CTV will debut the special.
After that airing, the SCTV comedy special will exclusively stream in Canada on Netflix.

This means that rules against blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization to be eliminated.
This is six months after the Federal Communications Commission voted to eliminate the rules that prohibit Internet service providers from blocking and throttling lawful Internet traffic.

Polygon reports that Rick and Morty is getting 70 new episodes.
Co-creator Justin Roiland tweeted a drawing of the show’s titular characters, announcing that Adult Swim has ordered 70 new episodes.
That works out to be seven more seasons, based on the show’s history of 10-episode seasons.
70 episodes will bring Rick and Morty to more than 100 episodes, and that means the series can be syndicated.
It’s a big move for Adult Swim, and one that other networks, like FX, have also done in the past.
Roiland didn’t say anything about when the fourth season will premiere.

Bill's daughter Thea and Ted’s daughter Billie help them.
They now have a 24 hour deadline to write that song.
They try to steal the song from their future selves.
They're middle aged, their wives (the princesses), are now working double shifts at Denny’s, and they're poor.
The humor is not cynical, snarky, or dark. So they still have a sense of innocence.
The budget is not that big.
They still want to 'Party on dudes!'
They still want us to 'Be excellent to each other.'

Syfy network cancels critically-acclaimed sci-fi series The Expanse.
There will be no fourth season.
The last episode of season 3 is due to air in July.
Season 3 currently holds a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Producer Alcon plans to shop it around to other networks.
