Stan Lee's Into The Spider Verse Cameo.

Stan Lee has very few of his infamous cameos left.

But his cameo in the just released Spider-man: Into the Spider Verse is a gut puncher.

Some may consider the following a spoiler, but as far as I know it is not.

Miles Morales enters a costume store to buy a Spider-Man suit.

He gets a cheap looking copy of Peter Parker's red and blue suit and wonders if it will fit.

The store clerk is Stan Lee who responds with "It always fits, eventually."

Original Hulk Lou Ferrigno hospitalized!

Don't worry, he's out now, and attending events with actor Dolph Lundgren.

Ferrigno just turned 67 last month and looks great for his age.

He ended up in the hospital after a pneumonia vaccine.

He posted on Twitter Wednesday, "Went in for a pneumonia shot and landed up here with fluid in my bicep."

Ferrigno was the star of the late 1970s TV series "The Incredible Hulk" along with Bill Bixby as Dr David Banner.

Avengers Endgame Website forwards to Deadpool?

So for some reason Marvel and Disney didn't think to reserve the websites avengersendgame.com and avengersendgamemovie.com.

So someone going by the Twitter handle @AGuyInChair bought them on the same day Avengers Infinity War hit theaters.

How he figured out the name so early seems unclear at this time.

What is clear is that all he wants from Marvel is two tickets to the premiere of Avengers Endgame.

When neither Disney nor Marvel responded to his offer, he decided to have some fun.

So he had the domains forward to the website for Once Upon a Deadpool.

Ryan Reynolds got involved and things only got more entertaining.

He sent @AGuyInChair a care package featuring the Ryan Reynolds owned Aviator brand gin.

To which @AGuyInChair immediately offered up for anyone who could get him two tickets to the premiere of Avengers Endgame.

Ryan Reynolds responded on Twitter with “This isn’t to say I’m proud of what you did. Just that I happen to love you.”

Still no response from Disney or Marvel though it seems.

When it comes to Godzilla: King of the Monsters, much of the press has been focused on Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

But the latest trailer makes it seem like the real stars are the bad kaiju poised to battle Godzilla himself.

King Ghidorah, Mothra; and Rodan will of course grab the attention of any Godzilla fan, but will that be enough?

Is this one of those rare cases where even a good story isn't necessary?

Will the battles be epic enough to keep fans happy?

Solo: A Star Wars Story just can't catch a break.

First there was that whole director problem (that the movie never really got over).

Then it receives the low box office from fans so extremely disappointed in The Last Jedi.

Now it seems that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has officially disqualified the films score from Oscar consideration.

The reason is that Disney didn't make the November 15th deadline to submit.

Do you sense that Disney is setting this movie up as its scapegoat for the Rian Johnson problem?

As if Jason Mamoa hasn't already won over the attention of every female on the planet, he just solidified it even more.

In a recent interview with The Mirror he proclaimed that he was constantly crying on the set of Aquaman.

'I was constantly crying. I was raised by a single mother and I'm very connected to my emotions.'

He says he gets his softer side from his mother Coni.

He followed that with 'I'm not going to nor-mally get hired to play those emotional things – and I'm capable of it. I'm just trapped in a big, dumb body!'

So how long do you think it will be until he announces that his next major motion picture is some intense drama with tons of Oscar potential?

If it seemed like anime is everywhere recently, it might not be your imagination.

The Hollywood Reporter just published a story that says the industry raked in $19.1 billion in 2017.

Streaming was a big reason for this with Netflix, Hulu, and of course Crunchyroll playing a big part.

If someone was just getting into Anime, what would you recommend they start with?

Female Pirate Replaces Jack Sparrow

Female Pirate Replaces Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean?

About a month ago we talked about the rumor that Disney was thinking about replacing Johnny Depp.

This would obviously be a risky move since every movie in the franchise has made around $1 Billion dollars each.

So a pirate named Redd has become an important figure on both the Disneyland and Disney World rides.

She is said to have taken over the controversial wench auction scene on the rides.

No passing of the torch where Jack Sparrow sails off into the sunset.

No subtle introduction in the movies where we get to meet Redd.

How do you think fans will accept Redd as the new protagonist in the franchise?

Once Upon A Deadpool Trailer Released

So the first trailer for Once Upon A Deadpool has been released.

For those unaware, Once Upon A Deadpool is a PG-13 edit of Deadpool 2.

It will be somewhat of a reenactment of the scenes from The Princess Bride, with Fred Savage and his grandpa in that movie, except Fred is a grown man, and Deadpool is in the grandpa's chair reading the story.

Fred is also not happy to be there, is tied up, and is throwing shade back at Deadpool better than anyone we've seen so far.

Once Upon A Deadpool hits theaters on December 12th.

$1 of every ticket will benefit Fudge Cancer, a charity whose name is edited because this is a PG-13 movie.

Click the link to the trailer in the show notes, and let us know your thoughts.

The Infinity War On Christmas

Avengers Infinity War hits Netflix on Christmas Day.

This will be the end of an era of sorts, as after this Disney will save it's premium content for its own streaming service.

Disney+ will launch late 2019 where eventually it will be all things Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, etc.

No word on when Ant-man And The Wasp will be available on Netflix though.

Bill Maher Is A Petulant Child

Bill Maher acted like a petulant child when he said some disrespectful things about fans mourning the loss of Stan Lee recently.

Author Neil Gaiman has given the best response so far on his Twitter account with...

"Maher’s just trolling, and lots of people are rising to the troll. (Julie Burchill did it better 30 years ago with her “There aren’t any adult comics because adults don’t read comics” line. ) More people cared about Stan Lee’s death than care about Bill Maher alive."

The company that Stan Lee helped found POW! Entertainment has released a statement as well.

“Mr. Maher: Comic books, like all literature, are storytelling devices. When written well by great creators such as Stan Lee, they make us feel, make us think and teach us lessons that hopefully make us better human beings. One lesson Stan taught so many of us was tolerance and respect, and thanks to that message, we are grateful that we can say you have a right to your opinion that comics are childish and unsophisticated. Many said the same about Dickens, Steinbeck, Melville and even Shakespeare.”

This is why I have never been able to take Bill Maher that seriously, even on the occasion that I agree with him.

He's too often an immature troll.

So Disney World in Florida is getting a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. If you are wondering why they don't have other Marvel related rides, it's because of a licensing deal made in the 90's with Universal.

Guardians of the Galaxy wasn't the sensation it is today, so that highly valuable intellectual property wasn't included in that deal.

It will be what some are calling a "storytelling coaster" where instead of the emphasis being on gnarly turns, dips, and chiropractic appointment inducing corners, this ride will be about guiding you on an adventure.

The ride will open within Epcot in 2021,  as part of the resort’s 50th anniversary celebration.

For tons more information on this ride, including an exclusive video presentation, click the link in the show notes to the Inside The Magic blog link.

In case you haven't heard, James Cameron has been filming four sequels for the Avatar series all at once.

Well, he just announced that the filming for all four sequels has wrapped.

There is still tons of post production left to do, but the main cast is finished with their part.

September of last year is when it all started, but that's still impressive for four massive productions being completed.

It took several months for the cast just to be trained on the underwater motion capture technology.

The first of these sequels will be released on December 18th of 2020, but officially the only title we have is Avatar 2.

Although they have filmed four sequels, the 4th and 5th movies will only be released if the first two are hits at the box office.

The highly rumored titles for the movies are Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider and Avatar 5 - Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.

The new Firefly comic series has begun!

This series will sit right between when the show ended, and when the movie started.

The first issue has a heist that goes wrong, a fabled Traitor of Serenity Valley, and Mal’s quest for revenge putting him at odds with his own crew.

So everything you might expect if we ever got a season 2 of Firefly.

Issue number one is available now.

For several years now I have cracked jokes about George R.R. Martin being an unfocused writer who has lost control of his world building.

Well, recently he spoke with The Guardian and pretty much confirmed everything I have been saying.

"I've been struggling with it for a few years. 'The Winds of Winter' is not so much a novel as a dozen novels, each with a different protagonist, each having a different cast of supporting players and antagonists and allies and lovers around them, and all of these weaving together in an extremely complex fashion. So it's very, very challenging."

Although a book on the history of the Targaryens called Fire and Blood will be released on Tuesday November 20th, it is not recommended that fans hold their breath for The Winds Of Winter.

Warner Brothers have confirmed that they are in fact going to move forward with the live action version of the classic Jonny Quest cartoon.

The director Chris McKay is most known for his work on The LEGO Batman Movie.

Many have brought up the challenges of rebooting the Hanna-Barbera cartoon created by Doug Wildey in the mid-1960s.

The character Hadji does not transfer well to modern times, but we are sure that talented enough writers can turn this to a positive, right?

Marvel comics legend and icon Stan lee has passed.

Full story later today.

Please post your thoughts on his passing in the comments.

Thanks to our friends at DEAD: for helping confirm this tragic news.

https://therealstanlee.com/

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Although we reported of the tragic passing of Marvel comics legend and icon Stan lee just hours ago, we thought that a full tribute was required in this situation.

Stan Lee joined Timely Comics the same year it started in 1939.

Although shocking to think about now, he started at the company as a gopher boy and assistant.

In 1941, at 19 years old, Stan Lee was made into interim editor.

He had a major part in the creation of characters as legendary as Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, the X-Men, Ant-Man, Iron Man, and Thor.

But his first superhero co-creation was the Destroyer, in Mystic Comics #6 in August of 1941.

This legend was also a Veteran. He joined the United States Army in early 1942.

He joked that his military classification was "playwright."

He returned after his World War II military service in 1945.

In the 1950's Lee ended up writing romance, Westerns, humor, science fiction, medieval adventure, horror and suspense.

He became so tired of this that he almost quit entirely, but then publisher Martin Goodman assigned Lee to come up with a new superhero team.

His wife thankfully encouraged him to be selfish and stick to the stories that excited him since he was about to quit anyways and had nothing to lose.

It was when he started giving his superheroes a flawed humanity that everything changed and Marvel was truly born.

In 1961 Timely Comics evolved into Marvel where Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and Jack Kirby made the company what it is today.

Thankfully he lived to see his creations evolve into a multi-billion dollar movie franchise that will be enjoyed by fans for decades to come.

His cameos in these movies help cement his legacy and ensure he will inspire many creators for years to come.

On July 6th of 2017, his wife, anchor, defender, and support system sadly passed away.

From that day to the day he left us, his life came apart, and many say he was never really happy after that.

Today we celebrate all the joy he gave to so many, will continue to give to generations to come, and hope that he is with Joan in the afterlife, and smiling once again.

We will all miss you greatly Stan Lee. Thank you for all you gave to us.

I think the most proper thing we can reply with in the comments is the only word that can describe the man.

So in the comments let's all respond with simply "Excelsior!"
